The United Church Women’s group was founded in 1962 when the National UCW began and we are still meeting once a month on the second Monday, at 1:30 pm in the basement of the church.
We oversee the kitchen and ensure the items are in good shape for all who use the kitchen, otherwise the items are replaced.
We host Funeral Receptions and ensure that the hall is set up, coffee & tea are available for guests, and do all kitchen duties.
We hold our Annual Cookie Walk in December and we host a Christmas Tea at Park Manor Personal Care Home.
We decorate the communion table on Thanksgiving Sunday and we hold a Thankoffering Service to raise funds for the Mission & Service Fund of the United Church of Canada.
For the past few years we have taken on the Shoebox Project where we fill shoeboxes with personal items for women in shelters.
All women of the church are invited to join us!
