It’s Auction Time!

TMUC’s annual Time and Talent Auction takes place this Friday (Sept. 23) at 7 p.m.

Come join in this fun fundraiser. What an assortment of items have been donated!  A provisional list of Auction items will be sent out on Friday morning so that you can make an advance bid (in case you cannot attend in person).  The details of all that will follow but know that we have tickets to a Jets game, quilted and knitted blankets, gift baskets, perogies, cheesecakes, artwork, an autographed blue/gold football from the 2019 Grey Cup winning Winnipeg Blue Bombers, cabbage rolls, buns, jams….

So let’s share our talents, support TMUC and have some fun.  See you Friday evening!

We will be setting up for the auction on Friday morning at 10 a.m. We welcome anyone who would like to help.  If you would like to volunteer at the auction ( clean-up, kitchen help…), please send us a note at  tmuc@shaw.ca  Thank you.

Dinner Theatre will be returning next year (April 20-23). We need one cast member to play a female character. Cast members commit to a rehearsal schedule of two evenings a week starting in January, as well as the dress rehearsal and performances  If interested in having some fun and fulfilling your dream of being an actor, please contact the Caught in the Act’s (CITAC) producer,  Kathy Antymis, at antymis@mymts.net or director Shelley Schau at saschau@mts.net.

In the coming months we will be letting you know about other volunteer opportunities to help with the production.

The Upper Room daily reading booklet is available for September and October in both large print and regular size.  Donations of $1.00 are appreciated.

The Pros Know (a 55 Plus Active Living and Resource Expo) is coming to Transcona!  More than 25 exhibitors of Senior friendly organizations and businesses dedicated to the well-being of the diverse 55+ community will be at the Transcona Retired Citizens Organization at 328 Whittier Avenue West tomorrow,  September 22 from 10:00 to 3:00.  All are welcome!
