Bird groups have fun group names
There’s:
- a gaggle of geese
- a bevy of quail
- a bouquet of pheasants
- a murmuration of starlings
- an exaltation of larks
to name a few.
We also have names for groups of people:
- a team of players
- a choir of singers
- a network of friends
- a congregation of worshippers
- or (if the sermon is boring)
a ‘snooze’ of parishioners!
In the Bible, we read of disciples and apostles, and tribes and prophets.
We all belong to various ‘groups’, families, communities.
We are living in a time of worldwide pandemic and worldwide climate change that remind us that we all belong to God’s creation; that we live as part of a group of atoms called the Earth, that we are all:
- God’s creation
- God’s children
- God’s expression
We are not alone We live in God’s world. Thanks be to God.
One of our newer groups is the TMUC ZOOMERS of Thursday morning. Everyone is welcome to join our weekly check-in and chat, Thursdays at 9 a.m.
