We’ve been approved!
We are delighted to share good news today! The City of Winnipeg through the Community Incentive Grant Program has approved $50,000.00 towards the roof and insulation project!
The roof repair will solve the current leakage problems (no more water trickling into the balcony or basement!) and over time will reduce heating costs, and will improve our ‘carbon footprint’. This plan was approved at a congregational meeting on August 2. If you missed the meeting, and want to read about the details of the plan – they are on TMUC’s website .
We continue to be grateful for your generous support of the TMUC ministry and community – through the General Fund and the Building Fund! Together we are making a difference!

Other Church News:
For the next while, the church office will have irregular hours. Many of you will have heard that Laura has had an accident that will keep her out of the office for a while. (We are all hoping and praying for Laura’s speedy recovery!) If you want to drop by the office, please leave a message on the Church answering machine, or send us an email to arrange a time.
And, we have a new accompanist! As of September 5, 2022, Hannah Cole will be a part of our Music Team. Welcome Hannah!
On September 11 we will be honouring the 60th anniversary of the UCW. The morning worship service will celebrate the ministry and faithfulness of TMUC’s UCW. And – we need your help!!
Do you have any UCW photos that we could use for a slide show on September 11? If so, could you please share them with us? You can bring them to the church on Sundays, or the office on Wednesday September 7 between 9 and 12. Thanks!
And, come join the choir! We are recording the song “Tapestry of Love” (written in celebration of the UCW) to be included in our celebration. EVERYONE is invited to participate in the onetime choir for this recording. The second rehearsal will be held tonight at 7 p.m. We will be recording next Wednesday, August 31 at 7 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help with the Auction on Friday, September 23. We need a set up crew, and a hosting crew. Send us a note at tmuc@shaw.ca or call the office to volunteer please! And, we are ready to receive your donations!
TMUC is collecting school supplies to donate to the Newcomer program at the River East Transcona School Division. Donations may be dropped off Sunday mornings or by arrangement midweek at the office.
The 2023 United Church Edition of the Canadian Church Calendar – features a photo of TMUC’s building for November 2023! The calendars are $10 and available through the church office. Orders are appreciated prior to August 30th.
