Today is ‘Play in the Sand Day!’
(Yes, apparently you can name a day after almost any occasion or activity.)
No one seems sure who invented Play in the Sand Day. Originally it was a day to celebrate artistic sand creations of castles or sand/water sculptures.
Now the day is a reminder of the importance of taking time for fun, for creativity, for play, perhaps for reliving childhood times spent at a beach or playing in a sandbox.
So, find some sand, release your inner sand artist, and have some fun. And, if there is no sand to be found, how about drawing? Playing with some water? Find something fun!
