This weekend is “Fall Back time…”
Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday November 7th!…
So, you can either set all your clock devices back an hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, or you can just set them back an hour before you go to bed on Saturday! (this paragraph was an example of ‘reminding you of what you already know!)
It feels like we are ‘falling back’ in other ways as we slowly transition ‘back’ to life beginning to resemble what it was like prior to COVID.
TMUC has begun ‘falling back’ to in-person worship services Sunday mornings.
This Sunday, our worship service will include TMUC’s traditional Remembrance Sunday reading of the Honour Roll, the Last Post, two minutes of silence and Reveille.
We remind you that we have resumed in-person worship and Sunday School at 10 a.m. Sundays. You must show Government proof of full vaccination or Government proof that you cannot receive a COVID-vaccination or be under 12 years of age. Masks are required to be worn in the building.
We are excited to announce that Choir is returning! Yes—we can sing together! Yes – we need to wear masks when we sing! Yes—we can take masks off if we are behind the plexiglass! Yes – you are invited to be part! The first rehearsal is Tuesday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m. Please use the Choir Room Door at the back of the building and bring your Vax Card and ID with you! We are so excited to see you and to HEAR you!
Now that we have returned to in-person worship, we also need a few volunteers to be GREETERS! – Greeters welcome people at the door, check proof of full vaccination and government-issued ID, provide each person with a medical-grade mask and handout sheet for the service. Following the service, greeters will ensure the church is closed (lights off, doors locked, alarms on). Shelley Schau, Chair of the Worship Team, is coordinating greeters for the next few weeks and would appreciate hearing from you if you can help. Shelley’s phone is 431-275-9169. Thank you.
2022 Church Calendars from The United Church of Canada can be ordered from TMUC by email (tmuc@shaw.ca) for $10. each. The calendars feature photos of Canadian churches, the order deadline is Monday, November 8.
