This Sunday’s worship service will be our last Sunday in leadership at TMUC before our retirement at the end of June. We hope that you are able to join us in person or online.
Sharing in worship with this faith community has been a joy and a blessing.
Thinking about Sunday worship, we are thankful for all the musicians, music directors, accompanists, singers, and instrumentalists, of all ages with whom we have shared in worship.
We are thankful for everyone who has greeted, read scripture, served communion, prepared communion, told stories, supported baptisms, changed banners, decorated, and undecorated, and offered leadership in any way.
We are thankful for the congregation who gathers for worship – welcoming visitors, and being present with encouragement, engagement, attentiveness, thoughtfulness, laughter, tears, and responsiveness. You are the hands and feet of Christ as you live out your share of Christ’s ministry.
We are thankful for the Office Administrators who have prepared bulletins and announcements, and for staff and volunteers who have folded, and folded, and folded! (imagine 35 years with an average of 40 weeks of bulletins with an average of 175 bulletins a week (some weeks there were 400 bulletins and the Health ordered closures had none) – perhaps close to 250,000 folds – not counting weeks when they also folded announcements or when there were funeral or wedding bulletins!)
We are thankful to have been blessed to have been part of TMUC’s community and ministry for the past 35 years.
And we have been thankful to have shared a worship YouTube ministry with TMUC’s Esther and Emmett.

Carol’s and Jeff’s Retirement Celebration:
We are looking forward to celebrating the upcoming retirement of Jeff and Carol and their 35 years of community ministry with a Come and Go reception on Tuesday June 27 at 6:30pm. Brief remarks at 7pm and light refreshments to be served.
We are collecting for a group gift, a token of remembrance for Jeff and Carol and their time at Transcona Memorial. T’BJIGGN News: TMUC will be open for church services during July and August. In July, our new minister, Rev. Rob Reed, will be on holiday, so we will have pulpit supply ministers leading us in worship. In August, Rob Reed will be leading us in worship. Again, the seven United Churches in north-east Winnipeg, “T’BJIGGN”, will be offering a Church-o-rama passport for people to use when visiting other churches. If you would like a passport, please contact Cathie Morgan Matula at cathiemorgan7@gmail.com or at 204 222-0124. People from the other churches could be visiting TMUC on July 30th, August 27th, and Sept. 3rd.
