Messy Church returns with an in-person gathering on Friday, September 16 from 6:30-8:00. All are welcome to join in craft activities and worship!
The Book Group will have the first meeting of the season in person on Tuesday, September 20 from 7-8:30. All are welcome!
TMUC’s Time and Talent Auction will be held on Friday September 23 at 7 p.m. We need some volunteers to help with the auction (set-up and clean-up, host…), and to donate (past donations have included perogies, cookies, home-crafted bird houses, buns, cakes, Blue Bombers items…) Send us a note at tmuc@shaw.ca or call the office to volunteer please! Auction donation forms are available in the church office.
Office hours will continue to be irregular, so please email to confirm that someone will be there to meet you if you need to drop by.
Thanks for all the donations of school supplies! And thanks for the donations to the Building Fund and the General Fund as we continue to share ministry in the community and in our building.
Thanks for all the contributions to the ‘Short-notice Metal Drive’. We raised about $180! Another Metal Drive is coming in October! All types of metal are welcome!
Please remember the TMUC projects:
• The Pop can recycling (so far we have raised over $100)
• Old batteries recycling
• The TruEarth Fundraiser (so far we have raised about $140!) Here’s the link
We continue to appreciate and thank everyone who continues to support TMUC’s ministry.
This week the fall school season begins. Our prayers are with the children, the teachers, the support staff and administrators for all levels of school. Starting school can be an exciting and sometimes scary time, and so we pray for all to remember that God is with us always.
Feel free to offer, and to share our prayers for the ‘Blessings of the Backpacks’
Holy God,
You are with us always.
As we head to school, this backpack will be with us.
May it be a reminder of your presence with us.
May we know your care all around us.
May we know the respect OF others –
And may we have respect FOR others.
Guide us with wisdom and give us compassion.
Keep us safe in your love.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
We keep you in our prayers,
Carol and Jeff
