This week we got to look 4.6 billion years into the past!
What we saw was a distant universe.
What we saw was galaxy cluster SMACS 0723 (also known as Webb’s First Deep Field).
What we saw was an image produced by NASA’s James Webb telescope.
What we saw was differing sizes and shapes and colours of light that are really thousands of galaxies!
All of which is literally out of this world!
Wow! Amazing!
We are part of a Creation that is more immense and complex and beautiful and wonderous and …well, add your own adjectives.
We are a tiny part of this Creation, but we are part of this Creation!
What we saw this week is amazing…
What we see everyday is amazing – light shimmering from raindrops on a blade of grass, puffy clouds overhead, tiny cucumbers, colourful flowers…
Wherever summer may take you …whether far afield or into your own neighbourhood, take time to be amazed! Take time to give thanks for this Creation of which we are part.
Tomorrow you are invited to join in this month’s Thursday morning ZOOM check-in and chat from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
During the summer, these gatherings will be held monthly on the second Thursday of the month (July 14, August 11 and September 8).
