“Spring forward…fall back.”
Yes, Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday at 2:00 a.m.
Or it ends whenever you set your clocks back an hour before retiring to sleep on Saturday evening.
Some of our ‘devices’ – smart phones, laptops etc…- will automatically make the adjustment. Some we will have to adjust ourselves – microwave, stove clock, wall clock, perhaps automobile clocks.
Some things just happen. Some things require our response.
It’s the dance of life, and of faith.
Jesus told his disciples that he was giving them a new commandment – to love one another as I have loved you.
God loves. We respond by loving others.
Author Shane Claiborne says we should pray as if everything depends on God…and act as if everything depends on us.
We pray for peace, health, compassion…and we offer forgiveness, wear masks and phone someone to say, “Just thinking of you!”
Daylight Savings Time will end. We will reset our clocks… and then we will awake to a new day of being loved by God and loving others.
We don’t have to reset our clocks until the weekend, so tomorrow’s weekly ZOOM chat will still be at 9 a.m. Daylight Savings Time.
Everyone is welcome to join our weekly Thursday morning check-in and chat.
