YALE AVENUE ROAD WORK

Important Information from the Council
RE: Yale Avenue West Construction

From Monday, May 25 for approximately 10 weeks, Yale Avenue West will be closed between Winona Street and Day Street. This is to facilitate the reconstruction of the pavement, sidewalks and sewer infrastructure, and the installation of a three-vehicle cutout in front of the church for loading/unloading. The length of the closure will be weather dependent.

During this time, access to TMUC will begin with street parking in the adjacent neighbourhood and walking to the church. Dropping off passengers will also be possible but parking access at the church will not be reliable. Access to the church building will be through the choir room door (north side of the building), only during regular office hours and on Sunday mornings for worship. Access to the church building from the south, through the sanctuary doors or the CE (glass) doors, will not be reliable and should not be expected.

Access through the choir room door will require pressing a doorbell to notify the office of your presence.

User groups and renters will need to arrange and coordinate their access to the building as soon as possible by contacting the church office (204-222-1331 or office@tmuc.ca).

TMUC Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting took place on March 8, 2026. Here is a copy of the 2025 Annual Report.

Bible Study

Bible Study is now underway on Friday’s from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the church office!! You’re welcome to bring your lunch! If you would like to know what our focus scriptures will be, contact Rob for the list.

Children & Youth Ministry

A weekly program for children and youth (ages 4 and older) is offered at TMUC during the worship service.

This program includes a chance for our children and youth to explore and grow in faith through story, arts, crafts, and games.  Children and youth will first gather in the sanctuary and will be taken upstairs to the multi-purpose room by their leader.

If you would like to share your faith and spirit with our children and youth, once a month or once every couple of months, or find out more about this Sunday morning program, please speak with one of the coordinators (Gail Purcell, Karen Ilchena, Rob Reed) or contact the church office.

Message from Ministry & Personnel:

TMUC is blessed with staff who are committed to their work and we are thankful for this work in our community of faith. Thank you to Rev. Rob Reed, office admin Dallis Kelly and our music team Crystal Schau and Henry Kelsey.

The Ministry & Personnel (M&P) Team acts under the guidance of The Manual of The United Church of Canada.  Presently serving on our M&P Team are Karen Ilchena, Sheilah Ross-Campbell and Cheryl Thomas. We provide resources and support for our staff and work to build positive and trusting relationships between our congregation and staff.

If members of our congregation would like to share praise or concerns about staff, these can be shared in signed correspondence with the M&P Team and can be left in the white mailbox outside the church office.  Correspondence will be considered confidentially by the M&P Team.
